In the Radivojević household

During the visit to Kosovo and Metohija villages as part of the “March Remembrance” initiative, members of the Pandurica Association visited the village of Gornji Drijen. The village is located in the mountainous hinterland of Zubin Potok.

In the Radivojević household, two brothers live together with their families. One of the brothers is a soldier from Košare and was seriously wounded during the war. They are engaged in agriculture, livestock farming, and firewood sales. They manage to survive on their ancestral land despite various difficulties, including poor road infrastructure, an unstable electricity network, and numerous hardships. They received financial assistance for expanding their living space and will share the tractor trailer with their neighbors, the Rašković family.

Along with the members of Pandurica, the visit was also attended by priest Danilo Zirojević and monk Isajija Dečanac.

The village of Drijen

The village of Drijen is located near Zubin Potok and consists of ten Serbian households. The host of the gathering was the Rašković family, who received a donated tractor trailer. In their hamlet, there are three houses belonging to the mentioned family members, and they will share the trailer for joint use. These people live off agriculture and are very pleased with the donation, as it was essential for carrying out primary tasks.

As they say, they have never left their ancestral homes and plan to remain there despite the difficult situation. They face certain neighborhood issues with the local non-Serbian population, but they manage to overcome them in some way.

All we can do is hope and believe in their perseverance.

Milosavljević family

On December 7, 2024, members of the Pandurica Association, together with priest Danilo Zirojević and monk Isajija from the Visoki Dečani Monastery, visited the village of Vukojevići in the vicinity of Zubin Potok, Kosovo and Metohija. The occasion was the “March Remembrance” initiative.

The host of the gathering was the Milosavljević family, who, as part of the initiative, received a newly built facade for their house and a purchased cow. The family consists of six members, including two minor children. The host is extremely grateful for the assistance, which means a lot to them in their efforts to remain on their ancestral land. This family has never left their village and lives off agriculture. As they say, they receive no external assistance and survive purely through their labor and the sale of their products.

The village is located on the slopes of the Brnjačko Lake canyon and is 15 kilometers away from Zubin Potok. It is accessed via a dirt road, which is quite difficult to traverse. Nearby is the Brnjak Monastery, which we also visited on our way back.

We warmly bid farewell to our dear hosts, hoping to see them again, and wished them well-being and perseverance.
